Express Marketing Memo Rotating Header Image

What will you do differently in 2008?

Happy New Year photo.I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions. But setting goals … that’s a whole different story. Goals give us something to reach toward, where resolutions for too many people are an exercise in futility.

My goals for this year include building this blog, adding content at least twice each week. You’ll see an emphasis on all things related to small business marketing, with an emphasis on copywriting (words that sell).

We’ll talk about:

  • Marketing via email
  • Search engine optimization
  • How to optimize your web site for local search
  • Finding local and niche directories
  • Social media – building relationships online
  • Blogs: how-to set one up, how-to integrate your blog into your marketing plan, how-to publicize it, which blogs are a “must read” for the small business owner
  • Unconventional online and offline marketing tactics
  • And lots more

I’m also creating an e-course that I plan to have ready by the end of January. The topic is still under wraps.

So what are YOUR business or marketing goals for 2008?

I spent much of last year trying to figure out what my blog was meant to be and have now found focus, so this year my goals are to make my blog a real authority site, to post regularly and respond to comments, along with all the SEO work required.

    I love your content too!
