Are you still connected to your email subscribers? In today’s 30-minute tip, take time to check on that. If you use AWeber, it’s easy. Your email campaign isn’t just information coming from you to your subscribers, it’s also information gathering for you, if you know what you’re looking for.
Find out how long it’s been since your subscribers have opened your message. Then, find out how many read the information and went to your Web site because of it. If you separate your customers based on the last time they opened your message, you’ll get a better idea of active and inactive recipients. In the last three months, how many of your customers opened your e-newsletter? It may be time to send an inquiry to see if there is an area that can be improved, but better yet, specifically target a new campaign to your most current readers. If they haven’t been reading your material in the last three months, there’s little chance they’ll open it now to give you feedback, but I’m an optimist … there is a chance if you take that list and upload it into another with a list name that will compel them, like a question in the subject line. If you hook ‘em with that, they may opt in to your new material with anticipation.
Either way, you don’t want to waste everyone’s time by targeting uninterested readers.
If your emails are dumping into spam filters, it hurts your reputation. Review Email Best Practices to make sure you are within appropriate guidelines to avoid becoming spam.

At times it’s really frustrating to learn that your subscribers are ignoring what you send. Good thing here are software can used to track subscribers who never opens your email. And I totally agree that in order to get your subscribers interest you have to come up with something that will interest them. A catchy subject line and good email content will work out to get your subscribers attention. Definitely true, we never want to hurt our reputation.

Thanks for stopping by, Sun. If you’re subscribed to too many email newsletters, you may like gathering your information in Google Reader instead. RSS allows you to read information as it gathers in another location, instead of gathering in your inbox!
