Express Marketing Memo is an offshoot of Express It Write!, owned and operated by Shari Voigt. The goal of this blog is to provide relevant marketing tips and ideas for small business owners and marketing managers. As Shari’s first interactive blog, this served her and her clients quite well in the beginning. That was 10 years ago.
Her passion for marketing small businesses hasn’t stopped here, and today this blog has grown to an astounding readership and muse for her more recent and collaborative effort with Zero To Sixty Marketing LLC, where all aspects of small business marketing merge through several smaller independent companies in a virtual marketing arrangement.
In today’s economy, it is increasingly clear that the gap between big business and smaller companies has the potential to shorten the lifespan of many, if not most, small businesses in America. Large marketing firms can easily consume the budgets of companies that don’t know any other way to compete. Tough economy means less money for the independent business owner to use on marketing, and that can have disastrous results. Shari and her sister, Susan Hamilton, have the crazy notion that marketing shouldn’t consume every penny of profit your company brings in during the tough times.
