Depending on the theme used and what the business needs, sometimes the blog software could be used to replace the entire website. In Wordpress terms this means using Pages for the actual pages of the site (homepage, contact us, about us) and then Posts for the new content. That way you only have one site to maintain so you don't have to manage a regular website in addition to the blog.

I think with all the Google updates in the past and especially the Panda release, content is becoming more and more important. Actually I think it is the most important part of SEO. And constantly adding new and unique content is what every web site owner should concentrate on.

I think the key these days is to actually create a facebook campaign that encourages interaction from the people. You shouldn't just be telling them about your business, but encouraging them to develop their own voice in regards to your business. User interaction and activity is crucial.

You make a very good point that keywords should be included in headings as well as into the body copy of each page. Try to write for the user but don't forget the purpose of your writing. Thanks for the great posts.

Becoming a positive influence on Facebook requires good intentions. Creating great stories that people can appreciate or relate to can get you business headed in the right direction.

Businesses flourish not just through FB advertising but by the core values of the company itself. I agree, social media is one of the most powerful tool to skyrocket a business but hand in hand with people service, it will succeed.

All great tips. I have noticed a lot of sites do not title their pages correctly. You should always title each page for what it is for, ie, contact us, useful links etc. Quite a few people forget to do this & they all end up being titled Index or something totally unrelated.
